In 2015, we went on our very first date at the Beachcomber Cafe. We sat outside on the patio, shared a cup of coffee, and swapped small talk. We had no idea that those first shared moments would be the first of many, and would ultimately spark a journey that took us across the globe and back again. Now that's a good cup of coffee.

Over the years, we lived and worked abroad in some of the world’s most respected hospitality settings—including the Four Seasons. Those experiences shaped our craft and deepened our love for thoughtful service. But no matter how far we traveled, we always felt pulled back home to Humboldt—and to our shared dream of someday opening a cafe of our own.

In April 2023, we made that dream a reality when we purchased the Beachcomber Cafe. With a vision in mind and a lot of hard work ahead, we—alongside our families—rolled up our sleeves and poured blood, sweat, and tears into the cafe’s remodel. Just a month later, we reopened the doors of the Beachcomber, welcoming the community back into a fresh, new space that still held the heart and charm of the original.

From the very beginning, our vision has always been deeply rooted in family. We imagined a life where we could work just across the street from the school our future children would attend. In April 2024, that vision grew even more meaningful with the birth of our daughter—a reminder of why we took this step in the first place.

Today, the Beachcomber Cafe continues to evolve—its story unfolding with each cup of coffee and every shared meal. For us, the cafe is not just a business; it’s a space where friends and family gather and are always at the heart of everything we do. We’re committed to creating a welcoming community hub, where everyone feels like part of the family.
