Family Owned & Operated
The Beachcomber Cafe is a small, family owned and operated business with a whole lot of heart. We are the Cathers, a husband and wife duo, that had our first date at the Beachcomber Cafe in 2015. There has always been a special kind of magic to the Beachcomber Cafe, and to the town of Trinidad as a whole. That magic brought us together, and we're here to keep that magic alive.
Community Centered
We have spent years living abroad, surfing and traveling the world together. One of our favorite things to do when away from home, was to search out the best local coffee shops that would give us a feeling of comfort, community, and a slower pace of life. When we bought the Beachcomber Cafe from its previous owners in 2023, this was our goal. To take inspiration from our travels, continue the magic of the Beachcomber Cafe, and create a space that is warm, and welcoming to all. A space for our community to gather, and for travelers to feel at home.
Ocean Inspired
We both grew up in the surfing community, and it has been a huge part of our lives both individually and as a couple. We have brought our love for the ocean into the Cafe through color, design, local surf art, and locally hand shaped surfboards. In addition, the Beachcomber Cafe will be donating a portion of its annual profits to the Surfrider Foundation, as our way of giving back to what has given us so much.
